Lovely rare signed Bernard Instone sterling silver pendant.
It features a central oval faceted amethyst gemstone bezel
set in a sterling silver filgree detailed surround.The amethyst
has an openback type setting. It has a very nicely detailed 
silver chain with a spring ring clasp closure.
The rear of the necklace is marked with "BI" and has silver hallmarks for
Birmingham 1975. The provenance of this piece can be traced directly
to the Instone family.It is in very good condition. The oval pendant 
measures approximately 2.6 x 2.1cm. The chain measure approximately
16 inches (41cm)
