Vintage Ward Brothers, Scotland, Cairngorm quartz and sterling silver shield brooch. The large round faceted cairngorm quartz  is prong set in a detailed sterling silver shield setting with Celtic motifs. The brooch has a pin and rollover C clasp closure to the rear.  It  measures approximately 3.8 cm in diameter. Weight is 22 grams. It has makers mark "WB" and Edinburgh silver hallmarks to the rear (the year date letter is indistinct). It is in very good condition with small signs of wear commensurate wih age.
