Rare Hannu Ikonen (Finland) vintage modernist reindeer moss bronze pendant.
with original adjustable bronze chain. It is marked "MADE IN FINLAND"
on the rear of the main stem. The chain measures approximately 22 inches (60cm).
The pendant measure approximately 5.5 x 4.2 cm. Weight is 27.7 grams . Estimated to
date from the 1970's. It is in very good condition
Hannu Ikonen worked in both bronze and silver, making jewellery for the
Valo-Koru Finnish firm throughout the 1970s. His well know “Renmoosblüte” or reindeer
moss pieces were sculptural interpretations of forms from nature. His designs have become
iconic in the modernist jewellery world.
