A beautiful Georg Jensen vintage modernist sterling silver brooch designed by Henning Koppel
with an abstract sculptural form. The rear of the brooch is marked with "GEORG JENSEN
925 STERLING DENMARK 324" . It has a rollover clasp and pin closure on the rear.
It measures approximately 4.1 x .3.8 cm and is in very good condition.
Weight is 10.6 grams. It is estimated to date from the 1940's.
George Jensen was a renowned silversmith and the Georg Jensen brand has come
to represent excellent quality craftsmanship and design. Henning Koppel was one of the
most renowned designers who worked with the Georg Jensen Company.
His designs have a clean, modern, sculptural feel. This brooch is a lovely example of his work.
