Lovely vintage large Shetland Jewellery Quendale beast brooch. The brooch design partially depicts a large bronze "Harness" ornament found in Quendale, Shetland dating from the Viking occupation. It has a silver pin and C clasp closure to the rear. Is is signed with makers marks "SS" and "SHETLAND" and has silver hallmarks for Edinburgh 1965 on the rear. The brooch measures approximately 4.5 cm in diameter. Weight is 15 grams. It is in very good condition .
