Very beautiful Art Deco vintage Georg Jensen /Arno Malinowski large sterling silver butterfly brooch. It has a pin and rollover C clasp to the rear. It it signed "GEORG JENSEN", "925 S DENMARK 283" , "GJLD" and has silver import hallmarks for London 1968. It is in very good condition. The brooch measures approximately 5.2 cm in diameter .Weight is 26 grams.
Arno Malinowski was a successful designer who worked with the Georg Jensen Company from 1936 to 1944 and again from 1949 to 1965. He often featured detailed designs of animals in his work. This brooch is a beautiful example of his work.
